General Questions

What does PGFFL stand for?

How and where do I sign up?
You can sign up via our Website or Linktree.

How much does it cost?
Fall '22 Registration Fee is $99 ($2.95 Processing Fee) This fee does not go to the league.

What does my registration fee cover?
The registration fee covers the cost of your team jersey and all supplies that include flags for the game, footballs, marked fields and referees.
How old do I have to be to register?
You must be 18 years old to register.

Do I have to have experience playing flag football?
NO - We welcome all levels and encourage you to come out and give it a try. We also host football conditioning events throughout the season and everyone is welcomed. Open Play and Conditioning Events will be posted on our events page.

Are there any other options aside from playing on a team?
Yes - We are always in need of referees.
Is this a LGBTQIA only league?
YES - We welcome any and all LGBTQIA.

I'm not a registered player, can I come watch the games?
YES - We welcome spectators.
Season:
What seasons are played?
We only play in Fall and Spring.
When does a season start and end?
Fall Season typically starts in September through December. Spring Season usually begins In February through May. Specific dates will be posted under "Seasons".
Games:
Where are the games played?
This depends on the season but our two primary field locations are Encanto and Coronado Park.
What day are the games played?
Fall Season games are on Friday evenings and Spring season games are on Saturday morning/afternoon. Once the schedule is confirmed and posted you can find it here - Fall '22 Schedule.
What time do the games start/end?
Fall season games start at 6:30ish p.m. and end around 9ish p.m.
How long are games?
A typical game is two 25-minute half with a 5-10 minute halftime; depending on the season. Spring and warmer weather the halftime or times outs are called to hydrate and player safety.

What if I can't make a game or running late?
No problem, we understand. We ask that communicate with your Team Captain if you are running late or unable to make a game.

Uniform:

What do I wear?
Pocketless pants or shorts (required as a safety precaution) and we highly encourage cleats. Metal cleats are NOT ALLOWED.
Can I wear a hat?
YES - But during the game it must be worn backwards for the safety of other players.
Can I wear sunglasses / eyeglasses?
Yes - We encourage you to wear plastic framed glasses. Our rule books require no metal be worn during a game including necklaces, earrings or a watch for player safety.
Do I have to pay for my uniform?
We supply your Team Jersey as part of your registration fee, you are responsible for pocketless pants or shorts and cleats (no metal cleats allowed).
